H&K's very own Cortney Pope just visited Beaches Resort and Spa in the Turks and Caicos and here is what she learned and experienced...
"We LOVED our time on the islands of Turks and Caicos and want to share with YOU, our clients!
First up, Beaches Turks and Caicos. This sprawling resort is part of the Sandals family of resorts. Beaches is a family friendly resort, welcoming guests of all ages.
Upon disembarking from the aircraft into the hot Caribbean sun, we quickly went through immigration (be sure to fill out your form on the airplane!) and were soon on our way! Beaches has a desk right outside the airport, clearly marked for all Beaches guests. They will meet you, take your name, tag your luggage, and quickly escort you to the included complimentary transportation. The air conditioned van will then escort you on a short 15 or so minute drive to the property!
Once arriving on property, we were taken to the lobby of our village (more on villages later) and were given a welcome drink and asked to have a seat on the plush couches. A team member quickly approached us, got us all checked in, gave us a map of the resort and pointed out where we would be staying. We were then asked if there were any reservations that we wanted to check on. We asked for Kimonos (the only restaurant requiring reservations), snorkeling and a glass bottom boat tour. We were told to go and enjoy, they would work on those reservations, and alert us when our room was ready. Side note, check in is 3pm and typically rooms are not ready until this time, but you are free to begin enjoying the resort until then! So, we dropped our bags and headed straight to Bobby Dee’s for burgers and milkshake!

Our amazing stay begins here! We stayed in the Italian Village this time, and our room overlooked one of the many pools! Some have mentioned not liking section because of the noise-I would disagree! We never had any issues with noise and we loved being in the center of everything- we could get to either end of the property in less than 10 minutes! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfy!
This resort has so much to offer!! The beach and water here is absolutely GORGEOUS! Hands-down the most beautiful I have seen so far-and we’ve been fortunate enough to see several Caribbean islands! We explored every inch of this place! We snorkeled, sailed, and enjoyed pools and the beach! While we did make a reservation for snorkeling, there was walk up availability each day as well. The glass bottom boat had an issue and had to be repaired, so unfortunately we didn’t get to do that this time. Guess that just means we have to go back!
There are both beach and pool cabanas that can be reserved , but there was so much seating, it was not necessary to get up early and feel like you had to fight for a seat! We walked up many times and found plenty of room for our party of three! You are never far from a drink or snack either. Many swim up bars and easily accessible snack options at every turn! We never went long without something in our hand!

The food. I could go on and on about this. We ate at 20 of the 21 restaurants on property. Of the vast variety of restaurants offered, 3 are only for ages 12 and up, and only one requires reservations. I seriously can’t say enough about the food here. It was incredible!!! My favorite was probably the warm churros with banana and chocolate sauce for dipping! The Mahi Mahi that I had at two different places was mouth watering! Anything you can think of, they have and if you want to sample more than one entree at a meal, do it! We never waited more than about 15 minutes to be seated either. I much prefer this over having to make reservation each night!
The Sesame Street kids’ clubs are awesome as well! The staff goes through extensive training to be sure your kiddos are safe and have fun! They have a clubhouse complete with their own small pool and loungers-so cute! We also spotted aa group out one day having a scavenger hunt around the property! There is also a character breakfast available at an additional cost where you can meet Sesame characters-we took a peak, it was so cute!!
Each night, there are multiple entertainment offerings. Shows, sing a longs, dance parties, parades, you name it! There was something for everyone!
Villages-there are 5 villages currently choose from. Each has a different feel and vibe! They range in accommodations from king rooms to 3bedroom butler villas with full kitchen and washer and dryer! Who wants to do laundry on vacation, though? These larger accommodations can be great for multi generational families traveling together, or just a group of friends! Add in a butler and you are set for the week of a lifetime!

We got to see several weddings while we were here as well. There are multiple wedding venues on property, and each is gorgeous! They will set you up with a dedicated wedding concierge and help you plan the day of your dreams!!
This resort really does have it all! I would not hesitate to send anyone here-couples, families, corporate groups, weddings…anybody!!"
